Calculates the number of tiles and quantity of material needed for flooring or walls.
The tile calculator works out how many tiles you need to cover a given area, adding a user-defined waste percentage to account for cuts and breakage.
Net area = room area − excluded areas Tiles needed (gross) = ceil(Net area / Tile area × (1 + waste%)) Boxes = ceil(Tiles needed / Tiles per box)
Floor 12 m², tile 60×60 cm (0.36 m²), 12% waste. Gross tiles = ceil(12 / 0.36 × 1.12) = ceil(37.33) = 38 tiles.
