Estimates the number of roofing sheets needed to cover a roof.
The roof sheet calculator works out how many sheets of corrugated steel or metal tile you need from the slope dimensions and the sheet's effective width, allowing for the overlap.
Sheets per row = ⌈slope width / effective sheet width⌉ Rows = ⌈slope length / (sheet length − overlap)⌉ Total = rows × sheets per row
A 5 × 5 m slope, 1.0 × 2.0 m sheets, 0.15 m overlap. Per row: ⌈5 / 1.0⌉ = 5 sheets. Rows: ⌈5 / (2.0 − 0.15)⌉ = ⌈2.70⌉ = 3. Total: 5 × 3 = 15 sheets.
