Estimates the number of metal roof tile sheets for a given roof area.
The metal roof tile calculator works out the number of sheets for a roof slope, accounting for the working width of the sheet and the vertical overlap.
Per row = ⌈slope width / working width⌉ Rows = ⌈slope length / (sheet length − overlap)⌉ Total = rows × per row
Slope 6 × 5 m, sheet 1.1 × 2.25 m (working width), overlap 0.15 m. Per row: ⌈6 / 1.1⌉ = 6. Rows: ⌈5 / (2.25 − 0.15)⌉ = 3. Total: 18 sheets.
