Dice Roller — Free Online Calculator

Rolls one or more virtual dice and displays the result.

What is it?

The dice roller simulates d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d100 (percentile) dice, rolling up to 20 at once — built for tabletop role-playing games and random selection. It is a fun, random tool.

Formula

nDx = roll n dice with x faces each. Each die is uniform on [1, x]. The sum of n six-sided dice averages n × 3.5 and approaches a normal distribution as n grows.

Example

3d6 (three six-sided dice): the total ranges from 3 to 18 with an average of 10.5 — a classic D&D attack roll.
