The dice roller simulates d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d100 (percentile) dice, rolling up to 20 at once — built for tabletop role-playing games and random selection. It is a fun, random tool.
nDx = roll n dice with x faces each. Each die is uniform on [1, x]. The sum of n six-sided dice averages n × 3.5 and approaches a normal distribution as n grows.
3d6 (three six-sided dice): the total ranges from 3 to 18 with an average of 10.5 — a classic D&D attack roll.
