The blind area (perimeter apron) calculator works out the area, plus the volume of concrete and sand needed to lay a concrete apron around the perimeter of a house.
Area = house perimeter × apron width Concrete (m³) = area × thickness × 1.05 Sand (m³) = area × sand layer thickness
House with a 40 m perimeter, apron width 1 m, concrete 10 cm, sand bed 15 cm. Area: 40 m². Concrete: 40 × 0.1 × 1.05 = 4.2 m³. Sand: 40 × 0.15 = 6 m³.
