The room area calculator computes floor, wall, and ceiling areas for a rectangular room, optionally subtracting door and window openings — useful for flooring, paint, and wallpaper estimates.
Floor/ceiling area = length × width Wall area = 2 × (length + width) × height Net wall area = Wall area − Σ(door & window areas)
Room 5.4 m × 3.8 m, ceiling 2.7 m. Floor = 20.52 m². Walls = 2×(5.4+3.8)×2.7 = 49.68 m². One door (0.9×2.1) + one window (1.2×1.4): subtract 1.89+1.68 = 3.57 m². Net walls ≈ 46.1 m².
