Estimates the number of aerated blocks required for masonry.
The aerated concrete block calculator works out how many blocks and what volume of masonry you need to build your walls. It assumes the standard block size of 600 × 300 × 200 mm.
Masonry volume = wall area × wall thickness + 5% waste Blocks = volume / (0.6 × 0.3 × 0.2) = volume / 0.036 m³, rounded up
Wall area (openings already deducted) 80 m², thickness 300 mm, 5% waste. Volume = 80 × 0.3 × 1.05 = 25.2 m³. Blocks = ⌈25.2 / 0.036⌉ = 701 blocks.
