Estimates the required air conditioner BTU or kW for a room.
The air-conditioner sizing calculator works out the cooling capacity (in BTU/h and kilowatts) a room needs, factoring in floor area, ceiling height, sun exposure, and the number of people.
Cooling power (W) = Floor area × Ceiling height × 40 W/m³ × Sun factor + 100 W × (People − 1) 1 kW = 3,412 BTU/h
A 20 m² room, 2.7 m ceiling, normal sun, 1 person: 20 × 2.7 × 40 = 2,160 W = ~7,370 BTU/h → a "09" unit (rated up to ~25 m²).
